Hi, I’m Shawnie!
I’m a board-certified Physician Associate and lifelong lover of all things medicine, with a longstanding passion for skin health and dermatology. I have been practicing medicine as a Physician Associate for two years.
My path in medicine began with an undergraduate degree in Immunology and Medical Microbiology from WVU, followed by a Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health from Baylor University, and ultimately my Physician Associate education at USMH. Together, these experiences have shaped the strong scientific foundation and patient-centered perspective I bring to medicine today.
I’m detail-oriented by nature and believe the little things matter, not only in medicine, but in making patients feel genuinely heard and cared for. I bring that same attention to detail to patient care, with a thoughtful and individualized approach that recognizes every patient as a whole person.
Being able to blend my background in science and clinical medicine with my passion for skin health and dermatology is a part of my career I’m incredibly excited to share with the communities that have meant so much to me. I’ll be serving communities throughout West Virginia, with a special emphasis on the Morgantown region and areas along the Maryland border.
When I’m not wearing my scrubs, I love traveling, spending time with my family and friends, baking, and being a dog mom to my mini Cavapoo.
