PDGF Aftercare Instructions

Thank you for choosing Skin Clique for your PDGF treatment! To ensure optimal results and minimize side effects, please follow these post-care instructions carefully:

Immediately after treatment

  • Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at injection sites is normal.
  • No need to massage or manipulate the area.

For the next 24-28 hours:

  • Some swelling or bruising may develop.
  • Use a cold compress or ice as needed to reduce swelling.
  • Sleep with an extra pillow to keep your head elevated.
  • Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs (like ibuprofen or aspirin), and strenuous exercise, as these increase bruising risk.

For the Next Week:

  • Avoid physical manipulation (touching, rubbing, massaging) of the treated areas.
  • Makeup may be used to cover bruising

Common Reactions:

  • Redness, swelling and tenderness are normal and may persist up to 7-14 days.
  • Swelling can be treated with ice, and an anti-inflammatory daily such as Zyrtec or Claritin.
  • Monitor for unusual changes in pain, color, or bruising — contact your provider if concerned.

Long Term Care:

Results from PDGF develop gradually over several weeks to months as your body produces new collagen and elastin. Be patient with the process and follow any additional treatment plans recommended by your provider. This treatment may require additional sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart along with a maintenance cadence.

For the best results, maintain a healthy lifestyle, including staying hydrated and protecting your skin from sun damage. Consult with your provider to ensure you are using the right clinical skincare products and ingredients.

If you experience any unusual symptoms, such as severe pain, discoloration, pale color or abnormal bruising that seems to travel, or prolonged swelling, please contact your provider immediately.

Thank you for trusting Skin Clique with your treatment. We look forward to seeing your progress and helping you achieve your aesthetic goals!
