What Are Biostimulators,
and How Do They Work?
SCULPTRA
Sculptra targets fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, and other signs of aging, gradually helping restore skin structure and volume. Most patients complete two treatments of two vials to start, and see glowing results in 4-6 weeks.
RADIESSE
This collagen stimulator gives patients a real-life airbrushed appearance, improving overall skin texture and laxity. Results are instant and continue to improve for up to 4-6 months. Radiesse can be used in most areas of the face and body.
Preparing for Your Treatment
- To reduce risk of bruising, avoid alcohol, aspirin and NSAIDs, and Omega-3 supplements for 5-7 days before treatment. Please note, do not discontinue any medications that are provider-prescribed unless approved to do so.
- Please alert your Skin Clique provider if you have a history of cold sores, as pre-treatment with an antiviral may be warranted.
- If receiving treatment at home, prepare an indoor space for your treatment. We recommend a flat surface (table or kitchen counters work great!) in an area with optimal lighting to set up. For your safety, please ensure the area is free from pets.
- Dermal fillers are not suitable while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Post-Treatment Care
- No massages or significant manipulation of the treated area unless instructed to do so by your provider.
- Avoid exercise or vigorous activity for 72 hours after treatment, or whenever the swelling subsides.
- Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours.
